Rainforest Concern recently attended the New Scientist Live Show at ExCeL, London. The event, dubbed the world’s greatest festival of ideas and discoveries, featured 80 exhibitors, more than 50 talks across five stages and attracted thousands of visitors over three days, including a dedicated day for schools.
For the first time, Rainforest Concern was an exhibitor at the event alongside charities and businesses with various scientific backgrounds. The event was a fantastic opportunity to engage with individuals and organisations to discuss the work of Rainforest Concern and encourage people to get involved.
At the New Scientist Live Show, Rainforest Concern launched an exciting new ‘Forest Twinning’ project. Forest Twinning invites schools, villages, private landowners, businesses, and sports clubs to twin their land with the equivalent area of rainforest, protecting habitats and the countless species that depend on them for survival.
