Join Rainforest Concern’s Forest Twinning challenge by twinning your school’s land with an equivalent area of threatened rainforest.

Forest Twinning can inspire engaging cross-curricular activities in subjects such as geography, science, maths, business studies and art and design.

There are two ways that schools can take part:

It's easy to take part

STAGE 1

· Measure up your school’s land footprint (buildings and grounds). Test maths skills by converting metres into acres and calculating your fundraising target.

STAGE 2

  • Design a range of fun, forest-themed events and activities to achieve your fundraising target.

  • Consider setting up a Just Giving page and generating a QR code so that parents and the wider community can donate and take part in the challenge.

  • Share news of your Forest Twinning challenge with the local media.

STAGE 3

  • Get in touch! Share your Forest Twinning plans with us by emailing [email protected] and tag @rainforestconcern on social media with photos of your fundraising activities.

STAGE 4

  • Once your fundraising target has been achieved, please complete the Sponsor an Acre form to make your donation and receive your Sponsor an Acre certificate.

  • Make an attractive outdoor or indoor sign in DT to celebrate twinning your school with rainforest.

  • Consider continuing your fundraising and see how many times you can replicate your school’s land footprint in rainforest, as every acre counts.
